Your Views on Local Bus Services
The government recently published its new National Bus Strategy. This sets out the government’s ambitions to improve bus services and increase bus use.
The government has set local authorities and operators a number of immediate actions. This includes producing a Bus Service Improvement Plan. This will be a strategic document which will identify service and infrastructure improvements.
In order to inform the initial development of the plan, we would like to invite you to provide your comments and suggestions on the following:
1. Your views on current bus services in the city.
• What are the positives?
• What would you like to see improved?
2. How do you feel local bus operators perform?
3. How do you feel the council performs in respect of bus services in the city?
(the council currently has responsibility for providing supported bus services to areas not served by the commercial network, providing bus priority measures, bus stop facilities and real time information)
Please respond to colin.harwood@brighton-hove.gov.uk with any comments you would like to make on the above by 19 July 2021.
