Emergency Food Network Needs Space

As the price of food stays high, supermarkets are donating less surplus food, and day-to-day running costs keep rising, our network of food banks, emergency food providers, and affordable food clubs need to find ways to cut costs. During lockdown, The Brighton and Hove Food Partnership ran a successful storage and distribution hub, and they’d like to do it again and give the best possible support to our amazing community. The Food Partnership know it’s working elsewhere across the country, and there is evidence they can get better prices for their network if they can bulk buy.

But here’s the challenge: we need space.

Brighton and Hove Food Partnership is looking for a corporate partner where they can deliver meaningful change for our city, while their partner supports them with a free or low-cost storage facility. They are keen to support any partner who comes forward, and can come up with a bespoke agreement that benefits everyone.
