Brighton & Hove City Council has launched a public consultation in response to the government’s request for proposals on local government reorganisation across Sussex.

While BHCC is already a unitary authority, they have been asked to explore whether they wish to propose merging with some neighbouring areas. The consultation will help inform any future submission and ensure residents and partners have a clear opportunity to contribute.

BHCC will be arranging one-to-one discussions with statutory partners in the coming weeks to better understand the evidence base, impacts and opportunities.
