Brighton & Hove City Council adopted the Brighton & Hove City Plan Part Two (“City Plan Part Two”) on 20 October 2022 in accordance with Regulation 26 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012.
The City Plan Part Two has been subject to examination by an independent Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State. The adopted City Plan Part Two incorporates the Main Modifications recommended by the Inspector as set out in the Appendix to the Inspector’s Report on the Examination into Brighton & Hove City Plan Part Two (“the Inspector’s Report”).
Any person aggrieved by the adoption of the City Plan Part Two may make an application to the High Court under section 113 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 (“the Act”) on the grounds that:
1. the City Plan Part Two is not within the power conferred by Part 2 of the Act;
2. a procedural requirement under Part 2 of the Act or its associated Regulations has not been complied with.
Any such application must be made before the end of the period of six weeks beginning with the day after the date on which the City Plan Part Two was adopted.

Copies of the Adoption Statement, the adopted City Plan Part Two, the Adopted Policies Map, City Plan Part Two Implementation & Monitoring Plan, the Sustainability Appraisal Report and associated adoption statement and the Inspector’s Report are available to view on the council’s website at: Adopted City Plan Part Two (brighton-hove.gov.uk)

• Hove Customer Service Centre, Ground Floor, Hove Town Hall, Norton Road, BN3 3BQ open from 9am to 4:30pm from Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays)

* Please note that, due to its size, the Sustainability Appraisal Report is only available to view at Brighton Customer Service Centre, Jubilee, Hove and Portslade Libraries.
A copy of the adoption documents by email are available on request. A reasonable charge will be made for request for paper copies of the documents.
