Circus Street Office Space to open in May

The Office at Circus Street in central Brighton is fast nearing completion and is seeking exciting, innovative and creative businesses to move in from May 2021.

New images showing the glazed penthouse office with a wrap-around terrace and views sweeping over Valley Gardens, the Royal Pavilion onion domes and out to sea to the Rampion Wind Farm were revealed today [5 March 2021].

“The city of Brighton & Hove has identified a real need for new, high quality office space for small and medium businesses to grow into and the Covid pandemic has created a major new demand for best-in-class office space to attract and retain the best talent,” said Rob Sloper, Development Director at U+I Plc.

“At Circus Street, award winning architects Shedkm have conceived a design led and state of the art, flexible space with energy efficiency and the very best digital connectivity at its core – and more, it’s right in the middle of a wider new cultural quarter we are creating – a place not designed just for work, but an eclectic place to stay and enjoy, inside and out.”

Six main office floors include 30,000 sq ft of Grade A space and plenty of cycle storage and underground parking; and on the ground floor, 2,475 sq ft of retail space is suitable for cafés and shops or one operator managing a range, overlooking carefully designed and landscaped public spaces, destined to become a lively new part of the city centred around a new Dance Space.

The building is environmentally sustainable and has been built to enhance the wellbeing of those inside, evidenced by an industry leading BREEAM Excellent certification.

“We are also proud to be one of the first offices in the region awarded Platinum Wired Certification, which is a global standard for technology, putting us on a par with The Shard in London; this means we have the fastest and most reliable internet connectivity available in the city; something we know is one of the top three most important factors for office space tenants,” continued Rob Sloper.

“The location and stunning, eco-friendly design make this a prime spot for digital and tech businesses and creative and design companies to call home. We’re also looking for exciting and innovative independent retailers and hospitality businesses to populate the ground floor and help to create a thriving and diverse neighbourhood at the heart of Brighton.”

Among the leading buildings for low-impact materials, land use, energy consumption and waste recycling, the whole Circus Street site has been designed to create a lively new area of the city where people can live, work and enjoy culture, including beautiful new homes, public squares, street level cafés and shops, public artworks and the new Dance Space, home to South East Dance.

Developers U+I are seeking businesses who wish to start out, spread their wings, establish their Brighton satellite office or upscale and join the Circus Street community and invited to get in touch to arrange a viewing.
