The Proposed Submission City Plan Part Two was approved at full Council on 23rd April and a 10 week period of consultation will run from September 7th to October 30th.
The City Plan Part Two supports the implementation and delivery of the City Plan Part One (adopted in March 2016) through the allocation of additional development sites and through detailed development management policies which will be used in the determination of planning applications.
The development management policies cover a wide range of topics including housing, high quality design and places, safe and sustainable travel and community facilities. We would be very pleased to receive responses to the consultation from members of the group.
You can view City Plan Part Two and its supporting documents and submit comments at: https://consultations.brighton-hove.gov.uk/ once the consultation period begins. This stage of consultation is focussed on whether the Plan meets the tests of soundness set out in the National Planning Policy Framework.
After the end of the consultation period, representations will be submitted alongside the City Plan Part Two to the government. The representations will be considered during a public examination process by an independent Planning Inspector appointed by the government.
The examination of the Plan is expected to take place in 2021. Please direct any queries to planningpolicy@brighton-hove.gov.uk
