Improving the Elder Place corridor - Have your say

Brighton and Hove City Council has launched a consultation on the ideas and early designs for the Elder Place corridor, an area including Elder Place, Providence Place and St Peter’s Place.

We’re asking for the views and ideas of residents, businesses, and wider stakeholders about our proposals and early designs to transform this part of Brighton & Hove. We want to make the area more welcoming and vibrant, and enjoyable for everyone. The plans seek to make the Elder Place corridor:

• more accessible,

• more walking, wheeling, and cycling friendly,

• greener and more climate resilient,

• more sociable and safe, providing well-lit streets, and space for arts, events, and activities,

• more connected with the surrounding London Road area and better serve the local community.

You can find further information on the project, see the early designs, and give your feedback on the Your Voice consultation platform. The closing date for responses is Tuesday 05 August 2025.
