Sussex Mayoral Elections Postponed

  • Mayoral elections now postponed until May 2028

  • Long-term funding offer to the six areas on the Devolution Priority Programme confirmed

  • Work to establish a Foundation Strategic Authority will continue

  • Sussex & Brighton to receive 1/3 of its future annual investment funds in 26/27 and 27/28.

The Mayoral Elections have been postponed until May 2028. A joint statement by Cllrs Keith Glazier, Paul Marshall and Bella Sankey said: “We are committed to devolution, building on the strong partnership work we have in place.   We are working together on the detail of this change for Sussex and Brighton.”
