Clare Griffiths and Felice Ayling, two local female business owners, are excited to announce a new funded support programme for early-stage female-led businesses. This programme, funded by Another Way Women’s Foundation, will provide essential resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities for female founders, creatives, and changemakers, free of charge.
While many women are starting their own businesses, they often lack access to the support they need to succeed. This new programme fills that gap by offering tailored services to help female entrepreneurs build strong business foundations and develop sustainable business models.
Statistics show that women-owned businesses often face higher failure rates due to a lack of appropriate advice and guidance. This programme aims to change that by providing comprehensive support to help female-led businesses thrive.
Delivered online over the course of five weeks, in weekly, two-hour workshops, the overall aim of the programme is to equip participants with the knowledge, skills and mindset they need to build a resilient, small business.
By the end of the 5 weeks, participants will be able to:
• Define their core offer and value proposition;
• Price their work effectively;
• Stand out from their competition;
• Create an actionable marketing plan;
• Complete a one-page business plan.
In addition to the taught element of the programme, participants will be invited to join a private, online community where they can access guidance and peer support, whilst working on any tasks set in between the modules
Clare and Felice hope the women will leave the programme feeling more confident and clear about their business plans, which will positively impact their personal wellbeing. Additionally, the programme aims to improve the survival rates of the female-led businesses that take part.
Anyone interested in taking part in the programme should complete the Expression of Interest form that can be found on the Thrive In Business Website. https://www.thriveinbusiness.co.uk/rise-and-thrive
