Five ways for your business to support people with refugee backgrounds in Brighton

Brighton Chamber has been working in collaboration with local charities and Brighton & Hove City Council on a project to support people from refugee groups into work and business.

Using the expertise in the Chamber’s brilliant business network, it’s been a really impactful project, helping recent arrivals to feel part of the economy of Brighton & Hove – and there are plenty of ways to continue getting involved in the project.

The Chamber has delivered online sessions with experts on their industry; connected 200 job seekers with employers at an Inclusive Employer Jobs Fair; provided one-to-one support and signposting for refugee entrepreneurs; run practical start-up workshops and had members speak about their business journey at industry focused events.

You could share your industry knowledge over a coffee, give feedback at a CV clinic, join a panel of industry experts, offer an advice session to someone starting a business, or host a visit or meeting.
