Lime Solicitors expands professional negligence offering into South East
Lime Solicitors’ professional negligence team is expanding its geographical reach into the South East with the transfer of a heavy-weight partner Karim Mohamed from Sussex-based law firm Mayo Wynne Baxter.
The move from Mayo Wynne Baxter has been a year in the making after the historic South East firm joined legal and professional services group Ampa in 2022, of which Lime Solicitors is its core consumer negligence brand.
With more than 30 years’ experience, Karim advises on all aspects of claims against professionals, including solicitors, surveyors, architects and accountants, and is a nationally-recognised specialist as well as an accredited mediator. He qualified as a solicitor in 1988 with a City of London law firm and works on a range of highly complex negligence cases, spanning tax to property.
Karim will be working from Brighton and London but supporting clients nationally.
Karim, who has been working in the South East for more than 20 years, said: “I’m delighted to be joining the Lime Solicitors team and adding a new geography to the firm’s professional negligence reach. The firm is highly focussed on righting wrongs and achieving the best outcome for clients. I look forward to growing the practice in the South East, London and beyond.”
Lime Solicitors’ professional negligence team started a decade ago with partner Mark Beesley and legal director Michael Young. Having initially been based in Birmingham, the team has grown to a national support offering.
Head of professional negligence Mark Beesley said: “Karim’s arrival is part of our commitment to add further experienced talent to our growing professional negligence team. The team is representing consumers in a wide range of cases covering financial services and tax disputes, disputes with previous solicitors, and property-related disputes. The team is highly regarded, and feedback from clients continues to be excellent. Karim adds to that with his considerable knowledge, particular specialisms and focus on complex cases.”
