Can you help the local Living Wage Campaign reach 900 signups?

The next milestone for the Brighton & Hove Living Wage campaign is reaching 900 employers ‘signed up’.

If you are a Living Wage employer, could you help us get there?

In 2023 the campaign is focusing on signing-up more local employers than ever to help employees deal with the cost-of-living crisis. By giving a shout out to these employers, it encourages other businesses to join too.

Sarah Springford, CEO of Brighton Chamber (which runs the Brighton & Hove Living Wage Campaign) said: ‘We know that it isn’t easy for all businesses to pay the Real Living Wage but it’s more important than ever. Employers frequently say how paying the Real Living Wage is good for business by helping to retain good staff and win new business.’

The key benefits of paying the Living Wage were highlighted in a recent survey:

Important for the business – 94% said yes

Positive for staff – 88% said yes

Positive PR – 44% said yes

High levels of staff productivity – 48% said yes

Help with recruitment – 48% said yes

Employee retention – 59% said yes

Over 100 employers responded, and you can read the full report and findings here.

The campaign started in 2012 and celebrates local Living Wage employers on social media and the campaign website through interviews, blogs, and good news stories.
