Prompted by the impact of storm Ciaran, Brighton & Hove City Council would like to better understand how climate change and different types of adverse weather throughout the year, impacts local businesses.
Examples of impacts that will affect businesses include extreme heat, cold spells, heavy rain leading to localised flooding, increased energy costs, damage to buildings and stock, supply chain issues, staff travel and customer access to property. We want to capture, monitor and better understand the impacts experienced by all businesses in the city so that we can work with you to better prepare, and to identify solutions, actions and measures that can help to reduce business impacts of extreme weather events in the future.
