A Local Green New Deal for Brighton and Hove
Event Announced for 6 pm on Thursday, 30 November, in the Hanover Room at the Brighthelm Centre in North Rd.
Brighton and Hove Climate A|zliance will be launching a new report on Local Green New Deals by researchers from the University of Sussex and the New Economics Foundation - and discussing the opportunities for Brighton and Hove. Caroline Lucas, MP for Brighton Pavilion, and Co-Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on the Green New Deal, will act as discussant.
The speakers will be
Prof. Tim Foxon, Professor of Sustainability Transitions, Science Policy Research Unit, University of Sussex;
Donal Brown, Research Fellow, Science Policy Research Unit, University of Sussex; and
Christian Jaccarini, Senior Researcher, New Economics Foundation.
The event will be chaired by Simon Maxwell, Co-Chair of Climate:Change.
The meeting will start at 6 pm and finish by 7.30 pm. Tea and coffee will be served from 5.30 pm.
