A Local Green New Deal for Brighton and Hove

Event Announced for 6 pm on Thursday, 30 November, in the Hanover Room at the Brighthelm Centre in North Rd.

Brighton and Hove Climate A|zliance will be launching a new report on Local Green New Deals by researchers from the University of Sussex and the New Economics Foundation - and discussing the opportunities for Brighton and Hove. Caroline Lucas, MP for Brighton Pavilion, and Co-Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on the Green New Deal, will act as discussant.

The speakers will be

  • Prof. Tim Foxon, Professor of Sustainability Transitions, Science Policy Research Unit, University of Sussex;

  • Donal Brown, Research Fellow, Science Policy Research Unit, University of Sussex; and

  • Christian Jaccarini, Senior Researcher, New Economics Foundation.

The event will be chaired by Simon Maxwell, Co-Chair of Climate:Change.

The meeting will start at 6 pm and finish by 7.30 pm. Tea and coffee will be served from 5.30 pm.
