SKILLS CONVERSATIONS MAPPING SURVEY

SKILLS CONVERSATIONS MAPPING SURVEY

As a business do you talk to others about skills and workforce development, either in local meetings, groups or during informal business gatherings?

Sussex Chamber has been tasked by Government to help improve the skills across the area by ensuring it meets the needs of local businesses

Sussex Chamber is reaching out to the wider Sussex community of businesses, skills providers and strategic leaders as part of the next stage of the Sussex Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP).

As part of this work the Sussex Chamber will be creating a comprehensive mapping of existing employer led "conversations" and" intelligence" relating to all things skills and workforce development, across the whole of the Sussex area. This will help to identify where there are opportunities for collaboration and sharing of resources, or gaps in the area.

This mapping will support local education providers, employers, and strategic leaders to identify trends in skills demand and supply and better understand the local economy and needs of individual sectors. It will also result in better targeted skills provision to support your business needs and link your views on skills into government departments.

Please see the link to the short survey below to feed back where you are involved in or aware of existing employer focused forums, groups or informal settings that has a skills-based element or discussion. If you could complete this short survey, also mapping where you are aware of, use or create data that may be of use to the wider LSIP stakeholder community, that would be much appreciated.

Thankyou for your support, please complete the survey by Friday 17 November 2023.
