Buzz of the Hyve as global tech firm arrives at The Office, Circus Street in Brighton

The Hyve Managed Hosting team has arrived in The Office at Circus Street in Brighton and is already creating a buzz.

Here is a look at the superb fit-out inside the stunning office space in the city centre’s new cultural quarter of the city, designed by architects shedkm and delivered by U+I (a Landsec company) in partnership with Brighton & Hove City Council.

Almost 50 experts in cloud technology have moved into the top two floors, creating the headquarters of the UK-based cloud hosting solutions provider, which also has offices in Frankfurt and Santa Monica.

Hyve is a fast-growing business, named as “One to Watch” by the Sunday Times in the Profit Track 100 list. Its group turnover in 2021 was £12 million, and is on track to hit £15 million by year end 2022. It delivers a range of hosting services, from private cloud and managed cloud to colocation and security services.

Jake Madders, Co-founder of Hyve, said: “We’re so excited to welcome our team to this new, exciting space in the heart of Brighton, creating the buzz that makes us the thriving business that we are. We’ve recently been recognised in the UK’s Best Workplaces™ in Tech list 2022, which is a great acknowledgement of how our employees feel about the working environment that we’re trying to create. We really hope that current and future employees will be proud of our space in Brighton, and our wider place in the South Coast’s tech scene.”

The 30,000 sq ft Grade A workspace at Circus Street has a city-leading sustainability rating (BREEAM “Excellent”) and WiredScore Platinum-rated digital connectivity.

The Hyve deal leaves four floors in The Office at Circus Street available to let, comprising 21,000 sq ft. For more details visit: circusstreetbrighton.com

The Office sits at the heart of Circus Street, a new mixed-use neighbourhood that has been delivered by regeneration specialist U+I in a £130 million Public Private Partnership with Brighton & Hove Council.

Circus Street has also created a new cultural venue for South East Dance, cafés, restaurants, workshops, event spaces, public gardens, public artworks, and 142 new apartments and 450 student bedrooms.

Rob Sloper, Development Director at U+I, said: “Brighton has a well-established reputation as one of the UK’s best places to live and work, one of the ‘happiest’ places and one of the UK’s most entrepreneurial cities, but suffers from lack of new high quality office space. At Circus Street we’re addressing that and providing space to gather Brighton’s brightest businesses. The location and stunning, sustainable and healthy design make this a prime spot for forward thinking companies to call home. We are thrilled to welcome Hyve to Circus Street and excited about more innovative brands, retailers and hospitality businesses coming in to create a thriving and diverse neighbourhood in the heart of Brighton.”
