The Confident Business series

The Confident Business series

A new programme of free, practical support to help you structure your planning and tighten your business model

The Confident Business series is designed to provide the tools and knowledge for business owners wanting to adapt their business model; and to help them survive and thrive beyond 2022.

This five month programme is led by the Business & IP Centre (BIPC) Brighton & Hove and delivered by Brighton Chamber and always possible.

Starting in March, and running for five months, it’s free to sign-up and take part. It’s aimed at established businesses, sole traders, micro businesses and start-ups. The tailored support is also designed for businesses that face additional barriers including women founders, and Black, Asian and minority ethnic entrepreneurs.

The programme includes small group workshops on key topics (Pitch, Price, Customers and Tech); one-to-one advice sessions with business experts; and peer-to-peer networking sessions to connect with other local businesses. Case studies will share their business journeys and there will be Q & As with experts.

Businesses taking part will have a great experience, learn, and make valuable connections with other businesses. This series of events and support provides business owners with the chance to step away and think strategically about their business.

Sarah Springford, CEO at Brighton Chamber said: ‘We are excited to be able to deliver this package of practical support to businesses on behalf of BIPC Brighton & Hove, following a time when many have not felt able to develop and grow and for others who have started a business.’

Councillor Steph Powell, joint chair of Brighton & Hove City Council’s Tourism, Equalities, Communities & Culture Committee, said: “This has been a very challenging year for businesses due to the impacts of Covid-19. I’m delighted that the BIPC Brighton & Hove, in partnership with Brighton Chamber and ‘always possible,’ is helping to deliver the Confident Business series to support SMEs in future-proofing their businesses through the pandemic and beyond. The BIPC offers a wide number of databases and expertise that can help a diverse range of businesses to start-up and grow.”
