Essential info

• Grants are available to SMEs (fewer than 250 employees and less than £44m turnover).

• The grant can cover 40% of a project’s costs. For example, if expenditure is £20,000, the grant would cover £8,000 and the business would contribute £12,000.

• There will be a grant approval panel once per month

There are two types of grant:

LoCASE Business Development Grants are available to SMEs offering low carbon (or “green”) goods or services.

They can be spent on a variety of business development projects, including marketing, used electric vehicles, IT, facilities and equipment, consultancy and energy efficiency improvements.

LoCASE Energy Efficiency grants are available to any SME.

These grants cover renewable energy and energy efficiency projects, such as LED lighting, insulation, heating or machinery upgrades, used electric vehicles, or renewable energy systems. Grant can contribute to both the cost of materials/equipment and installation.

Please note that grants over £5,000 will need to deliver more significant results than lower value projects.
