Simplifying the EU VAT changes for your ecommerce business.

Simplifying the EU VAT changes for your ecommerce business.

This session is for online businesses selling digital goods/services to private individuals in the EU as well as businesses selling physical goods into the EU to private customers.

Since the hectic Brexit transition period, businesses have settled into the more rigorous trade requirements, better understanding VAT implications, customs processes and classification measures. Now, preparations are ramping up to get ready for the EU VAT reforms coming on July 1, 2021.

On 27 May, 1 pm – 2 pm, Brighton Chamber CEO, Sarah Springford, will be joined by Alex Wyatt, Global Project Manager at SimplyVAT.com to talk through these issues and answer your questions.

At SimplyVAT.com, helping ecommerce businesses realize their full potential whilst remaining VAT compliant is the priority. Alex will walk you through each of the changes, covering Distance Selling Thresholds, Low Value Consignment Relief and marketplace liability.

As a leader in international VAT for ecommerce, you’ll hear how you can begin preparing your business for July and have any questions you may have answered at the end.

The session with cover topics including:

1. What are the main changes to the regulations that UK businesses have to consider when exporting goods to the EU?

2. What are the main changes for UK businesses that are selling digital services to private consumers across the EU?

3. Importing goods into the EU under the value of EUR 150 when selling on marketplaces and through your own website.

4. What are marketplaces liabilities in the EU after 1 July 2021?

5. What is the new Union One Stop Shop scheme and when to use it?

Please note: We will not be covering B2B or live services as there are no rule changes on this.
