Allergen Law Labelling Changes – Prepacked Food for Direct Sale (PPDS)

From 1 October 2021, the requirements for labelling foods that are prepacked for direct sale (PPDS) will change. The new labelling will help protect your consumers by providing potentially life-saving allergen information on the packaging.

The requirements will apply to you if you sell food to customers which is packaged at the same place it is offered/sold to consumers and it is in this packaging before it is ordered or selected e.g. prepacked sandwiches.
