Get your back to school tickets early: avoid the queues and save

Brighton & Hove Buses is offering families 5% off back to school tickets with busID if they buy them before Sunday 23 August to avoid the last minute rush and queues.

The bus company’s free busID already offers access to great deals for young people aged between 5 and 18. With busID, you can load tickets straight on to the key card online, use it to accompany child mobile tickets on the app, or to pay a reduced cash fare from the driver.

The good news is the 5% discount applies if you are getting a busID for the first time, renewing your busID or topping up your existing busID online.

All you need is to do is to quote the code ‘BACK2SCHOOL’ online, on the mobile app or in store. If you have more than one child, they all get the discount.

Brighton & Hove Buses’ Managing Director Martin Harris said: “Get in early and order your busID online. It is vital so that you can avoid the queues and delays that social distancing will cause due to reduced capacity at our travel shops. That is why we created an added incentive.

“We know parents and carers have a lot to think about before their children go back to school, rushing around buying school uniform, lunchboxes and school shoes. I hope this goes some way to helping out families before the school term starts.”

Martin said that by far the easiest way to get busID and beat the queues was to do it online.

Simply download the busID application form from the bus company’s website and post proof of date of birth (this can be a copy) and a passport photograph to Head Office at 43 Conway Street, Hove, BN3 3LT.

Please allow a few days for postage as all purchases have to be completed by Sunday 23 August to get the 5% discount. Alternatively, pop into 1 Stop Travel with proof of date of birth. Our colleagues can take your child’s photograph – or bring a passport photo - and we will process your busID card on the spot.
