GALVANISE BH : Volunteers Needed : Help end rough sleeping in Brighton & Hove

Galvanise is a community group of volunteers who want to help end rough sleeping in our city (and beyond) by actually finding out the views and experiences of those who are homeless and using that information to stimulate discussion & ideas about ways to end rough sleeping.

In 2017 we ran a ‘Connections Week’ where local volunteers connected with rough sleepers and conducted anonymous surveys. The the information gathered at that time has since been used to influence policy and practice, as well as been used for successful grant funding for rough sleepers.

Galvanise are running another ‘Connections Week’ this year, with shifts in the week beginning Sun 13th October. During this week volunteers will once again go out and speak with their homeless neighbours and conduct surveys. Our hope is that we can use this information again to influence and stimulate further meaningful discussion and action towards ending homelessness.

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!

We are asking anyone who is interested in finding out more about ending homelessness in Brighton & Hove, about Galvanise & about how to get involved in Connections Week to join us at one of the informal information & training sessions over the next couple of weeks.
